N4CL Code of Ethics
- Abidance to the following N4CL Code of Ethics is obligatory to the professional, efficient and honourable functioning of Network for Cargo Logistics. Non-compliance or disregard to the following rules will result in disciplinary action:
- All accounts must be settled within 30 days from the date of invoice (unless otherwise agreed).
- Terms of Payment in between members of N4CL is upon presentation of invoice, either electronic or classic mail.
- All members agree, that information on payment or non payment of their invoices will be stored in a central database, not at public exposure, in order to support a rating system for our members.
- In case of any dispute which does not reach mutual agreement within 45 days, all parties concerned should report to the N4CL Management or your correspondent Area Lead, who will hear both parties and decide on a resolution which is a base for a central arbitrage.
- All new members are subject to an evaluation period of the first 6 months of their approved and fully paid membership in order to be evaluated by N4CL Management and Area Managers to evaluate their dedication and compliance to the N4CL network.
- All N4CL members must be able to offer a full range of services including air and sea freight as well as customs clearance (unless agreed at the time of joining).
- All N4CL Members must attend a Members' Meeting within the 1st year of joining (unless exceptional circumstances prevail and subject to prior agreement by the N4CL Ltd. Management). However it makes no sense, not joining the high value network live meetings, a member can refrain from attending the sheduled network meeting maximum once in a 2 years period. Not meeting these requierements can lead to exclusion from full member status and rating upon decision of N4CL Management together with the board of Area Managers
- If a member is deemed to have defaulted on a payment to a fellow member, the N4CL Management reserves the right to notify all members and might inform credit and rating agencies.
- In the event of an expulsion, due to non-compliance with the N4CL Code of Ethics, fees will not be refunded.
- Members are to agree to exchange only net/net charges and rates.
- Members may terminate their membership with N4CL at any time. Fees will not be refunded.
- It is not allowed to use N4CL logotypes and slogans after temination of membersip.
- All Members must respect the nature of confidentiality involved in all client/business relationships.
- N4CL cannot be held responsible and does not accept any financial liability for commercial and/or financial obligations that are not met by (a) N4CL member(s).
- It is upon our members to check their messaging inbox regularly, at least once a day for new messages.
- This code of ethics can be extended or changed at any time by decision of N4CL Management and Board of Area Managers. In this case a notification will be send to you via N4CL messaging system.
- It is an obligation to all N4CL members to offer all new business to their fellow co-members here at N4CL right from the start of joining N4CL. By not following this rule, it might be a reason for termination of contract without any right of refund.
- All members should intent to help each other to develop the mutual business.
- It is also an obligation for all N4CL Members to respond all request from other N4CL Members, N4CL Platform request (for example automated rate requests) and N4CL Management with at least 24 hours.
THESE RULES ARE NOT INTENDED TO LIMIT ANY MEMBER, BUT TO ENABLE EVERYBODY TO ENHANCE IN A SECURE AND STRUCTURED WAY HIS BUSINESS WITHIN OUR NETWORK!
